Happy Birthday Doug...

Doug's Birthday was this Sunday...but we started the birthday fun on Friday when he got done with work. First of all, we went downtown for some big greasy hamburgers at Lynn's. After that, we enjoyed some of our usual thrift shopping...one of the stores the owner has this bird and it really likes Doug...

After that, we walked through Bob's....Doug found an interesting toy that entertained us for a while...

"Hello, my name is Doug, I'm 39 years old, and I'm special..."

I can't believe we didn't take any pictures on Saturday! We went to the movies and to dinner at Parker's Steak house...yum!

Sunday was church...here is a picture of Doug playing with one of our favorite kids, Isaiah...

Sunday night, after church, a bunch of us went out to celebrate with Dairy Queen...everyone, (clockwise) Gracie Fields, Doug and Laura Fields, Grandma E, Carol and Gene Anglin, Grampa E, Doug!

Singing happy birthday...

Blowing out the candles...we got the relighting kind:)

What's been going on...

Hi there faithful readers...
We've been busy, in the best sense of the word. Between family visiting, work, church events and learning a new business...which you should definitely go HERE to check out. Soooo, blogging has taken a back seat as it often does. Sorry, ok lets move on.

Wesley and Isaiah are here still having a wonderful time...at the moment, we are having 'quiet time' (smile). Isaiah is upstairs and has been still long enough that I am sure he is snoozing by now. Wesley has an empire built in the other room with legos, army men and star wars characters. It's nice for the rooms of our house to be filled with kids and their imaginations. Doug doesn't mind the toys either...

It truly is amazing all the things you can do around here for free or for a dollar. Today the boys both got cotton candy outside of wal-mart...we all still have blue tongues. Yesterday we got ice cream...and forgot to ask for kid sized cones...oops, luckily everything around was washable. The day before that, we took a trip to the dollar store...ohmywhatfun! There is just something great about taking a kid to a toy section of a store and saying choose whatever you want! Last night the boys were all watching "I was bitten" on tv....I hate the show because it is gross but they were all enthralled...

On another note, we took in another dog. Atlas is Dallas' brother who needed a new home...they seem to be enjoying each other!

Soooo, today we picked up the passport pictures, took everything to the post office...and the passport should be here in 4 weeks!
So everyone justrelaxalready, Doug has applied for his passport.
We will soon be eligible for world travel. We will be able to leave our free country...for the minimal fee of $75 plus the $25 processing fee.:)
Enjoy the news...we'll take pictures when it gets here, we'll have a party, you're all invited.
