Fun with friends...

Doug and I love to have people over to enjoy a nice fire and food cooked over the barbeque! Last week we were able to have a group over again...this time we remembered to take a few more pictures!

Fourth and final...

So, to finish off my epic annivesary weekend posts. On our way home, we went over to Ocean Park and visited Cape Dissapointment (one of our favorite places to go for a hike). We stopped for lunch by the beach and enjoyed the birds...or rather, they enjoyed our lunch! A teepee someone had made at Dead Man's Cove at Cape Dissapointment...

Anniversary weekend...part three...

For the next couple of days, we enjoyed relaxing, playing on the beach and eating...

We spent some time in relaxing and looking at our pictures from our first year together...Doug's shots of a sunset...I was staying warm in the water at the pool!

Our favorite restaurant there delivered for free at the place we were staying...so we ordered in one night...yummy!!!

We had fun at the fun center playing bumper cars, riding the tilt-a-whirl and putt putt golfing..(I won)

My fourth and final post will be our last day and traveling home...

Anniversary weekend....part two...

( If you haven't seen our previous post, read that one first.)
So, on our first day, we got to Seaside and checked into our room at Worldmark Wyndam. We were excited when we arrived because the first thing you see at the check in counter is the pool! Here is a picture of the resort from the beach...

Once we got settled in, we went down for a walk and for refreshments and snacks (curly fries) at Dundees...

Once we got comfortable enough to walk out on the balcony...it took us a while, Doug took to grilling dinner...
After dinner, we went out to swim at sun set. It felt freezing outside once we got wet but it was great in the water because the pool was 85 degrees and the hot tubs were about 102. Nice.

Our first anniversary weekend...part one...

For our anniversary this year we took a long weekend and went to the beach. We enjoyed some nice weather...although not as hot as last year, great food and lots of time in the water. Thanks to the resort we stayed at, we were able to enjoy the water because the pool was heated and the hot tubs were even hotter. On the way there, we decided to stop at the "eagle wildlife refuge", mainly because we had seen the signs many times before and were just curious. Here we are at the 'refuge'...

and...the refuge...otherwise known as 'the wetlands'...
We also stopped in Astoria to check out their stores, we thought they had more thrift stores and antique places but we didn't find them. We did however find an old jail cell...so of course Doug got in it...

We celebrated his release with some DQ dipped cones...
