Yummers...bbq meals
Lately we have been cooking most every dinner on the bbq...
This is pork, steemed broccoli and potatoes....YUM. It was super easy too. For the pork, I marinated it in a bottle of sauce that I got at the store...I had a coupon, it makes it so easy! So, the pork sat, soaking up flavor for about 24 hours. The potatoes and broccoli...well, I sliced and salted the potatoes and tossed them on the grill with the pork...easy peasy. The broccoli, I cut up and put in the steamer while the pork was on the bbq. It all took about 30 minutes and was SOOO good...and healthy!

We're Back!!
So, with high hopes of posting pictures of our trip to Owyhee, I started trying to post a lovely slide show and the works. However, the computer has been doing nothing that I want it to...soooo I will be trying to post soon...or maybe later. For pictures of the trip...I will be posting a link...but until then. We are home and looking forward to a somewhat quiet weekend full of fun fence building and a short shift at Curves.
Enjoying the heat,

It's been a while since I have made homemade pizza...I don't know why because it is SO much better than anything we can buy!
Pizza Crust: (for 2 crusts)
1 1/8 c warm water
1 Tbls dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp sugar
3 Tbls oil
4 c flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add oil, salt and sugar. Mix in flour last to make a medium soft dough. Knead about five minutes. Allow to rise 15 minutes or more in greased bowl. Grease pans and press dough over pans. Put sauce, toppings and cheese over crust and bake for 10-15 minutes at 350.
Sauce:
Can of tomatoe paste
(water down to desired consistancy)
garlic salt
oregano
parsley
a little sugar
taste test until good...
Pizza topping ideas!!!
Ham and Pineapple...(a fav)
Ground beef, ham and pepperoni
Pepperoni and black olives
Whatever you like!!!

the grill, the fixin's and china
First of all: A grill update...

Also...the fixin's...

And the china...after looking and looking for 'the' dishes we were going to get...I finally found some that we like. I had seen these at Pier1 before and liked them however, today, they were on sale. So, for a great price and also pretty nice looking...we now have dishes!
It works...
